Regional Ozark farmers are beginning to realize this need and are starting to grow produce in order to support the demand for locally grown produce in the Ozarks. This economic activity has two benefits for the region and the local community. It provides families with locally grown produce that is in season and with a variety of local options. It also provides the farmer with a way to make a living on his farm and the farmer the opportunity to grow sustainably in an environmentally friendly and healthy way.
